Hotel Options Near to WashU / SEM 2026
The area around the Washington University Danforth campus has many lodging choices. Below are a few hotel options that are a convenient commute to and from the Washington University campus.
- Knight Center at Washington University This is the most convenient option as far as proximity to the sessions and the evening events, and the rooms have been renovated recently..
Off campus, there are two areas near campus: the city of Clayton (1-2 miles west of campus) and the Central West End (about 4 miles east of campus on the other side of Forrest Park) where the WashU medical campus is located.

The Clayton hotels are accessible via public transit (Metro) and a short walk. They are a five-to-ten-minute walk from the Forsyth metro stop, which is one stop west of the campus stop, University City-Big Bend. The walk to campus from Clayton is about 30 minutes, but keep in mind that St. Louis summers can be very warm.
